Job Summary: Managing an organization's financial information and ensuring its accuracy. The accounting and finance function is responsible for creating financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Accounting involves the recording and reporting of financial transactions while finance deals with managing the organization's financial resources and making decisions that maximize its value. This function informs stakeholders of the organization's financial health, and their decisions impact the allocation of resources and the organization's ability to grow and succeed. By providing insights into the organization's financials, the accounting and finance function helps to guide decision-making and ensure that the organization is operating efficiently and effectively.
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA - On-Site Only
Job Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile, understand and confirm our financial data to ensure integrity of the company's financial information and support the monthly financial closing process
- Provide variance analysis of monthly sales, costs and profit actuals in comparison to forecast and plan
- Provide financial and analytical support to management
- Assist in the preparation of annual plan and updated forecasts, as required
- Prepare various weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports in order to facilitate decision making
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelors Degree
