About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our CRU Consulting team. In this role, you will take the lead in managing client projects, providing strategic insights, and delivering high-quality solutions to meet our clients’ business needs. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to develop clear project proposals, lead data analysis, and ensure successful project outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in driving business growth and fostering strong client relationships within a global, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Management & Project Execution: Respond to incoming leads and oversee project management, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
- Client Collaboration & Proposal Development: Work closely with clients, CRU Sales, and internal Consulting teams to develop clear, concise, and effective project proposals.
- Project Leadership & Delegation: Lead and participate in project planning meetings, design workplans, and delegate tasks to ensure successful project execution.
- Data Analysis & Insight Development: Analyze data using existing methodologies to uncover key trends and insights, and present clear, actionable conclusions to clients.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare professional reports using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant technical or economic software to effectively communicate project outcomes.
- Deadline Management: Maintain accountability for meeting deadlines, both personal and team-driven.
Qualifications:
- Relevant first degree e.g. Engineering, Economics.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience. Further degree (Masters degree with merit, MBA and/or PhD) would be beneficial.
Required Skills:
- Project management experience including exposure to working across multi-locations with different cultures.
- Intellectual leadership with an exceptional understanding of the metals, mining and energy markets.
- Strong quantitative background and a creative thinker underpinned by robust approach to data/modeling.
- Experience in business development an advantage.
- Goal-oriented, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm; able to operate efficiently, effectively and professionally within a fast-paced, dynamic and results-driven business environment.
- Ability to lead, influence and motivate others, develop and mentor members of the broader consultancy team and provide clear direction even in situations involving ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Experience of project/team leadership and focus on quality.
- Ability to discuss confidently with market participants and an inquisitive mind to obtain information that helps CRU Consulting provide a unique understanding to these markets.
- Collect and analyze data and apply analytical methodologies to present information visually.
- Prepare reports and proposals suitable for submission to prospective clients.
