CRUCIAL MRO is growing, and we’re looking for skilled and motivated Non-Certified Aircraft Technicians to join our team at Southern Illinois Airport (MDH). What You'll Do:
As a Non-Certified Tech, you'll be at the heart of our maintenance operations — performing essential work to keep aircraft safe, operational, and airworthy under the supervision of a licensed A&P Technician. Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and system issues
- Repairing and replacing aircraft components
- Documenting maintenance and repairs
- Working from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Using hand and power tools with precision
- Supporting heavy checks, preservation, and letter checks
- Ensuring all work complies with FAA, company, and manufacturer guidelines
Experience in automotive mechanics, heavy machinery, electrical, etc. is a huge plus, but not required. We provide training for the right candidates. Sheet metal, composites, or heavy check experience? Even better!
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
- Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors and at heights
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working with mechanical equipment
- Willingness to travel if needed
- Must be able to read and write English and pass an airport security background check
