Description

SUMMARY

The Developer/IT Support position will be responsible for maintaining and continuing to develop the company’s many public and private web sites.  In addition, the Developer/ IT Support position will be assisting the IT Staff in providing phone support and training for all the company’s locations. This support will include Windows PC’s and the company’s proprietary POS system. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft programming tools including Visual Studio and MS SQL Server.
  • Support the troubleshooting for all hardware, software and network products, via phone, remote software or in person.
  • Ensure adequate end-user support to ensure that all problems are handled quickly and successfully.
  • Interacts with VP of IT, Executive Staff and end users to resolve technology related issues and provide guidance on future projects
  • Complete corporate IT projects and requirements as specified
  • Continuous Learning - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; seeks feedback to improve performance; shares expertise with others.
  • Job Knowledge - Competent in required job skills and knowledge; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision.
  • Communications – Exhibits good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate with supervisor, co-workers and customers when applicable.
  • Attention to Detail – Recognizes that even small inaccuracies add up quickly.  Demonstrates willingness to take time necessary to follow instructions precisely.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

 

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of five years’ experience in the Information Technology industry required.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, talk or hear and use hands to handle, feel, or type.  The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

 

Education and/or Experience

High School or equivalent diploma required; Basic LAN/WAN network configuration and troubleshooting; experience with the ASP, ASP.NET and C# web development; experience with website management using Windows Server and IIS; Experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, web layout, and web graphics design; experience in user account management using Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange and other supporting business systems required.
