The Beauport Hospitality Group has a rare opportunity to join our Accounting Team! We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Part-Time Accounting Coordinator. This is an assistant management role, in a fast-paced environment, responsible for all accounting functions with a main focus on cashiering responsibilities to support the operation of Beauport Hotel Gloucester. The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for properly accounting for and enforcing internal controls. Ideal candidates will thrive on making an impact on our operation!
Experience and Skills
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all General Cashier duties, including managing safes, issuing banks, and maintaining accurate cash records.
- Conduct monthly audits of banks and safes, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
- Manage and maintain appropriate change levels for the Hotel, Gift Shop, Restaurant, and Events Department.
- Ensure all daily deposits are processed and delivered to the local bank.
- Support the Accounting Team by assisting in maintaining internal controls and adhering to accounting procedures.
- Collaborate with the Hotel, Restaurant, and Events teams to ensure accurate posting of guest transactions .
- Assist the Controller and Accounting Manager with processing special deposits and financial reports.
- Help manage tasks related to Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll .
- Work with department managers to control expenses and labor costs , while adhering to procurement guidelines.
- Assist in responding to billing inquiries and handling credit card disputes .
- Deliver all recurring accounting reports to the Controller in a confidential and timely manner.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Controller, Accounting Manager, or Managing Director.
