Cruisers Gift Shop is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Assist customers with their purchases, offering information about products and answering questions.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Point of Sale Operations: Operate cash registers and handle various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and digital wallets.
Scan and bag merchandise accurately and efficiently.
Verify pricing, apply discounts or promotions, and issue receipts.
Cash Handling and Accountability: Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout your shift.
Accurately count and reconcile cash and transactions at the end of your shift.
Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
Product Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the unique items available in the store.
Stay updated on new arrivals and promotions to assist customers effectively.
Answer customer inquiries about products and their features.
Store Presentation: Assist with maintaining the store's appearance, including restocking shelves and displays.
Ensure that the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
