Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to lead and implement a comprehensive information governance program. This role requires expertise in compliance, data lifecycle management, and process improvement, with a focus on meeting global privacy, security, and confidentiality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage key projects and ensure the organization's information governance practices align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement a robust information governance program to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of electronic and physical client records, including matter mobility and legal hold processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain policies, standards, and procedures related to information governance.
  • Oversee data analysis, classification, and remediation projects in partnership with IT and other departments.
  • Audit information governance processes and ensure alignment with internal policies.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in information governance.

Qualifications :

Education and Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in information management, information technology, library science, or a related field.
  • Information Governance Professional (IGP) certification is a plus.
  • Additional data privacy certifications such as CIPM, CIPP / E, or CIPP / US are advantageous.
  • Professional Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information governance, preferably within a professional services organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage information governance and records management policies.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Experience with document and records management systems such as iManage or equivalent platforms.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL) and data reporting tools.
  • Key Traits :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
