Job Description
Information about the Role, Line of Business, and Team:
The Operations department of the Crum & Forster Accident & Health division is looking for a multi-talented individual to join the Operations team. This is an accounting position that will interact internally with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Compliance, IT, and externally with the divisions business partners.
What you will do:
- Perform daily task related to third party administrators claim process
- Communicate with our third party administrators on a daily basis and provide monthly reconciliations
- Perform general ledger account and bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly general ledger entries
- Prepare monthly reinsurance statements for captive fronting and program business
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries
- Assist in monthly, quarterly and year-end closes
- Understand how data flows through the accounting systems; in order, to identify issues and take action to address them
- Develop and maintain positive relationships across functional teams to resolve issues
- Contribute to a cooperative team environment in order to meet department deadlines
- Perform ad-hoc projects and assignments under the direction of senior personnel

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of equivalent work experience in Accounting or Finance; insurance industry related experience a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience required
- Microsoft Word, Outlook and Power Point experience

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $53,500.00 to a maximum of $78,400.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
