Field Property Claims Adjuster
What you will do for C&F:
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of commercial properties in the tristate area with a heavy concentration in the NYC boroughs to assess the extent and cause of damage.
- Determine coverage, calculate claim values, and negotiate settlements in accordance with policy terms and guidelines.
- Document claim details, collect evidence, and maintain accurate records of investigations and settlements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and guiding policyholders through the claims process.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including underwriters and claims managers, to ensure timely resolution of claims.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to property insurance and claims adjusting.
What you will bring to C&F:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., insurance, risk management) or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in property claims adjusting or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claims processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess property damage and determine fair settlements.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with policyholders and stakeholders.
- This position requires a personal vehicle to drive to inspection sites.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $68,200.00 to a maximum of $107,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
