Agriculture worker/Ranch Hand

Great position for someone with ranch/farm experience caring for livestock (ie, horses) but this is not a horse related job. Nonsmoking location. Background check completed; must have a valid drivers license and own transportation to and from the job. Required to be on time to work, efficient worker. This job is related to caring for the property including labor.

Job responsibilities

Agriculture Worker/Ranch Hand position responsibilities includes following procedures for animal and property care, landscaping, equipment operation, supply use, preventive maintenance. Responsibilities might include mucking, cleaning, mowing; weed management; planting; aerating; cleaning fences; clearing brush, shrubs; repairs of multiple types; operating tractors; dusting, removing cobwebs, clearing limbs, painting and other job duties as assigned with the following requirements:

· following established safety procedures for all aspects with emphasis on operations, observations and cleaning;

· report safety and maintenance issues;

· cross train to equipment, supply use to gain familiarity and comfort following procedures and protocols on all properties;

· assist in disaster preparedness and staffing affecting the work site (s)

· honor confidentiality of business;

· implement and stay up to date with policy and protocol changes;

· demonstrate a high quality of work standards and ethics

· perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Knowledge and experience required:

• Agriculture and farm background;
• Animal care
• Able to operate large equipment

Summary
As a you will be an integral part of our Ranch operation, utilizing core skills of labor and observation, operating equipment to support daily operations. Your premium skills in livestock behaviors and care will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our livestock and maintaining a high standard of animal husbandry. Additionally, your relevant skills in mechanical knowledge, heavy lifting, and horticulture will contribute to the overall success of our ranch. A valid driver's license is required for this role. Join our team and play a vital role in the care and maintenance of our ranch facilities. Agriculture roles are 24/7 requiring weekend and holiday work.
