Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive dump trucks to transport materials to various job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safe operation.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper placement and weight distribution.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and crew members regarding material needs and site conditions.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies while on the road and at job sites.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and track mileage and fuel usage as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on dump trucks when necessary.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving dump trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance practices.
- Ability to operate equipment in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy materials safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
