Crumbl—the brand made famous by social media—is hiring an assistant manager trainee/apprentice to become a part of our leadership team at its location serving downtown Tampa, Hyde Park, Ybor City, Water Street, McDill Air Force Base and the surrounding neighborhoods in South Tampa, Florida! There is also opportunity to fill-in at the USF location.

After all, we make our dough and frostings from scratch, in-house, and daily for our followers (i.e., none of our desserts are shipped in frozen so special attention to recipe details is critical for success). This position is promotable to a bakery assistant manager who works closely with the bakery general manager, shift leads, and a crew of bakers to ensure fresh cookies and desserts are always available. Our bakery leaders oversee teams of 4 to 8 crew members each shift who prepare baked goods from recipes, make dough and batter on a 60-quart mixer, and move around various workstations to mix, ball, prep, frost, and serve cookies and other desserts. We are a QUICK SERVICE BAKERY. Leaders with previous experience in quick-service, or a fast-casual restaurant will thrive!
Our bakery assistant manager trainee/apprentice will usually work between the hours of 9am and 11pm. We are very busy in the evenings and need an assistant to primarily oversee a morning and mid-day shift to prepare baked goods, with the occasional need for evening coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Help us keep a fun team environment by getting to know everyone and continuing to build our crew
- Manage the kitchen efficiently each day to keep an ongoing supply of fresh cookies and desserts available for purchase
- Oversee quality control: We want our desserts to look and taste the same at every location
- Deliver a fantastic customer experience so our fans will keep coming back
- Keep the store clean and tidy and pass health inspections with flying colors
- Understand and track reports and use them to track store metrics
- Motivate and coach crew to improve daily processes
- Resolve conflict or complaints from customers and employees
- Conduct frequent inventory on rotating ingredients
- Help manage labor and employee communication
- Keep up with posts/news/info from corporate on our internal app
REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires an extremely DETAIL ORIENTED person who can MOVE WITH URGENCY
- Must be available to work ALL shifts, notably where a staffing shortage may occur
- Must be 18 years or older to comply with state and federal law on power-driven bakery machinery
- High school diploma, or equivalency
- Reliable transportation
- Prior food management experience is required
- Food manager's certification, or obtaining within 30 days of hire
- Maintaining high quality standards is required
- Previous leadership experience is a plus
- Become trained on the use of the 60-quart Hobart mixing and Blodgett rotating rack convection oven systems
- Must be able to stand throughout a shift and lift up to 50 pounds
