ACCOUNTING ANALYST

Looking for an Accounting Analyst who will be auditing accounting processes, managing usage-based revenue, ensuring compliance, and analyzing financial data. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in accounting or business analysis, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Position Overview
The Project-Based Accounting Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of accounting/finance processes, overseeing usage-based revenue accounting procedures, and ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, process improvement, data and business analysis.
Responsibilities
- Business Process Audits:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of accounting-related business processes to identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues.
- Usage-Based Revenue Process Oversight:
- Monitor and analyze usage-based processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Provide recommendations for process enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Other revenue process oversight as needed
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance programs and policies. Ensure that all accounting practices adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential risks. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of procedures, findings, and corrective actions. Ensure that all records comply with organizational and regulatory requirements reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.
- Process Evaluation:
- Evaluate financial processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Accounting Support:
- Other accounting related activities that include reconciliations, audit support and journal entries.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or business analysis, preferably in a project-based or consulting capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Familiarity with audit management tools and data analysis software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA) are a plus
