Position Summary:
Crunch Fitness Haverhill is seeking an energetic, motivated, and customer-oriented Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our dynamic team. The AGM will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving member engagement, and ensuring the gym runs smoothly. This role places a strong emphasis on managing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business success and lead a team to meet sales goals, particularly in personal training services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
Assist the General Manager in overseeing the gym's day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs efficiently and in alignment with Crunch Fitness’s mission and values. Ensure high standards for cleanliness, safety, and member satisfaction.
- KPI Management:
Monitor and manage KPIs related to gym performance, including membership growth, retention, attendance, and personal training revenue. Create strategies to improve these metrics while ensuring the team stays focused on business targets and results.
- Personal Training Sales Leadership:
Lead personal training sales efforts by driving member engagement with training services. Guide and mentor personal trainers to ensure they meet their sales goals and deliver exceptional service to clients. Set and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for personal training.
- Staff Supervision & Development:
Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities for all gym staff, ensuring that they provide outstanding customer service and are aligned with Crunch Fitness’s culture. Assist in recruiting and training new employees, ensuring a strong team dynamic.
- Member Relations:
Address member concerns, maintain high levels of member satisfaction, and create an environment where members feel motivated to meet their fitness goals. Implement strategies to increase member retention and foster a sense of community within the gym.
- Sales & Marketing:
Work with the marketing team to implement local initiatives aimed at driving membership sales and growing brand awareness. Actively promote personal training services and other offerings to increase revenue and enhance member engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the fitness industry, preferably in a fast-paced environment like a gym or health club.
- Strong background in sales, particularly personal training sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Solid understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and how to manage and improve them.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for customer service.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- A passion for fitness and helping others reach their personal health goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Personal Training or other related fitness qualifications.
- Experience with gym management software.
- Background in developing and managing personal training programs or fitness sales.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
