What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Team Member position at Crushed Red?
Our recipes all start with our favorite part, our team! We are on the search for enthusiastic and welcoming Front of House team members to join us. We take pride in our exceptional guest service and it’s up to each of our team members to create the friendly atmosphere that our customers appreciate and enjoy.
Our Front of House positions include food runners, bussers, hosts, and wine tenders. Ideal candidates will diligently perform the steps of service while taking and ringing in orders. They will also create an extraordinary guest experience as well as maintain a clean environment for our guests.
The Wine Tender station is where the Crushed Red experience moves from “fast casual” to “casual.” Our Wine Tenders must be knowledgeable about our adult beverage offerings and be ready to make recommendations based on each guest’s food choices. Wine and beer is delivered—and refills are suggested—to guests while they are sitting at their tables.
Our Wine Tenders:
- Fulfill online and phone orders.
- Ring up all in-person orders.
- Prompt drink orders.
- Run alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain and restock the Wine Tender station.
The Crushed Red Busser creates an extraordinary guest experience as well as maintains a clean environment for our guests. Their goal is to keep our dining rooms clean, organized and inviting to our guests. Especially during peak periods, we rely on this position to keep our tables turning and our environment welcoming to every new guest who enters the restaurant.
Our Bussers:
- Polish, roll and prep silverware.
- Clear and clean all plates and glassware from tables and guest dining areas.
- Reset tables in a timely manner to ensure all guests can be seated in a timely manner, ensuring tables are set according to Crushed Red standards.
- Make sure the chairs and floors around tables are clean.
- Maintain continuous restroom checks.
- Assist with pre-clearing plates at tables, beverage refills and wrapping of leftover food following procedures.
- Notify the manager of any problems with equipment or breakage that would affect the supply of necessary items for service.
- Notify the manager of any guest complaints no matter how small it may seem.
- Other duties as assigned by Management staff.
Crushed Red Food Runners are our guests' primary point of contact once they are seated. It is imperative that this team member behave courteously and professionally at all times and assist any guest in need, anywhere in the dining room.
Our Food Runners:
- Run hot items to correct tables.
- Set up shareables and soups.
- Check soup levels and alert the kitchen lead when they are low.
- Ensure food quality.
- Maintain (and direct guests to) the finishing island.
- Keep the Food Runner station clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned by Management staff.
