Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing outdoor spaces that enhance the beauty and functionality of properties. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their vision, developing design concepts, and ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards. The Landscape Designer will work on a variety of projects, including residential gardens, commercial landscapes, and public spaces.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and understand their landscape design needs.
- Create detailed landscape design plans using software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
- Develop site plans, planting plans, and construction documents for various landscaping projects.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing conditions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare construction estimates and project timelines in collaboration with the project management team.
- Coordinate with contractors and other professionals during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainable practices in landscape design.
- Present design concepts to clients and make adjustments based on feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in landscape design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ArcView, or Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of landscape principles, horticulture, and environmental sustainability.
- Experience in construction estimating is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing previous landscape design work is highly desirable.
