Job Summary
The Starbucks Concessions Lead will assist in providing the Charlotte Convention Center guests with a quality experience. This Lead will assist the Manager with duties such as day-to-day operations, scheduling, and project execution.
Essential Job Duties:
- Oversees Concessions store operation in absence of Manager.
- Assists Concessions Manager with standard inventory controls and procedures.
- Adheres to Concessions methods and policies.
- Assists Concessions Manager with organizing and maintaining Concessions store and inventory.
- Assists Concessions Manager with preparing adequate amounts of food for events.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Maintains cooperative working relationship with all applicable departments.
- Always meets workplace sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Maintains professional attire, image and demeanor at all times.
- Complies with all CRVA and Convention Center policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as requested.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences

Scope of Responsibility
- This job has no budgetary responsibilities.
- This job will have frequent access to confidential financial data including cash, credit card receipts, etc.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This role has no supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively convey information to managers, customers, and the public.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in a quick-service operation is preferred.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs, build positive relationships with customers and vendors, and go above and beyond to exceed expectations.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service with professionalism, respect, and courtesy.
- Ability to establish positive rapport with patrons and team members using tact and discretion.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to identify potential issues and take immediate corrective action.
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced venue environment.
- Competence in interpreting and following written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
- Team-oriented mindset, fostering collaboration in the workplace.
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate or equivalent education and experience may be considered.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment as needed.
Physical Demands
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment will vary depending on events within the facility.
