CRW Engineering Group, Inc (CRW) is currently seeking candidates for a full time, seasonal Engineering Technician Intern position for summer 2025.
This seasonal full-time position provides the opportunity for progressive responsibility and training under the direction of licensed professional Engineers of multiple disciplines, will develop detailed models of structural elements, piping, raceway, ductwork, and equipment used in planning and construction of vertical and process engineering projects and assists in standards development and management of BIM processes and workflow.
CRW is a growing multidiscipline engineering and surveying firm with offices in Anchorage, Palmer, and Seattle. Our staff of nearly 100 provides planning, design, and construction support services for federal, state, municipal, tribal, and private clients on projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. We’ve been helping build better communities for over 40 years.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performing drafting tasks in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Collaborating with engineers and technicians
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3D modeling and BIM familiarity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Entry Level Position
- Currently enrolled for an Associate Degree of Applied Science (AAS) in Architectural and Engineering Technology or similar
At CRW you will learn to:
- Use Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD proficiently to support the mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams
- Model ductwork, piping, conduits, and equipment
- Import, modify, and maintain Autodesk Revit libraries and AutoCAD standards
- Develop custom libraries and models
- Develop templates, standard details, intelligent custom blocks
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
