We are looking for a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer in our Anchorage office to be an integral part of the success of our company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical engineering plans, specifications, and reports for power, lighting, and instrumentation/controls systems.
- Conduct condition assessments and inspections of electrical systems and equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams
- Mentor EITs and delegate electrical tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time and budget management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with REVIT; AutoCAD; ETAP or other power simulation software is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional electrical engineer’s license required, with the ability to be licensed in Alaska within 6 months of hire date.
- Ten or more years of related experience.
- Commercial experience in any of the following categories is desired: power, lighting, runway lighting, power generation, telecommunications, instrumentation and controls, SCADA, arctic engineering, hazardous locations, field inspections, and fee estimates. A candidate with other experience is encouraged to apply and will be considered.
- Experience with CSI specifications is desired, UFGS specifications is considered a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to travel and conduct field studies.
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
