The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced specialist in the world of color evaluation and analysis. This role is highly focused on our quality assurance needs but bridges into R&D and product development as well.
Job Responsibilities
- Daily visual and instrumented shade evaluation of textiles, plastics and other components used in ongoing domestic production
- First article and lot evaluation of printed textiles from print plants throughout the world
- Creation, maintenance, organization and distribution of physical shade standards and references
- Daily maintenance of the shade database to include ongoing inspection records
- Historical maintenance of inspected materials
- Collection and analysis of infrared reflectance data
- Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment to include spectrophotometers, lighting, and related software
- Drafting and publishing of inspection protocols, SOPs and inspection reports
- Communication with outside vendors and licensees
- Coordination and communication with entirety of Quality Team as well as adjacent departments to include Production, Product Development, and Marketing
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in color evaluation or related laboratory role
- Superior ability to visual discern color (applicants will be tested)
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong technical writing abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in Excel or related data analysis tools
- Familiarity with equipment related to all forms of color, light and spectral analysis

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
