What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Account Manager position at Cryo Associates?
Cryo Associates is seeking a full-time Salesperson to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. Reporting directly to the President, this salesperson will sell equipment to biomedical and research facilities in the Washington DC metro area.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prospects for new customers within an assigned territory through networking, cold calling, and market research.
- Conducts sales visits to call on regular and prospective customers to understand customer operations and equipment requirements.
- Presents product demonstrations and explains technical features of cryogenic equipment.
- Prepares detailed sales proposals, negotiates and closes deals to meet sales targets.
- Works with marketing team to develop and promote product specials and service expertise — and executes effective email communications on a regular basis.
- Manages a robust sales pipeline and tracks all customer interactions through the company’s CRM system.
- Stays current on new biomedical equipment models, specifications, and technological advancements.
- Ability to address customer concerns regarding equipment performance and maintenance.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, new products, delivery schedules, marketing techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments and discussions with vendors.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Biology or related field.
- Sales Acumen - experience in a sales role selling heavy equipment, lab equipment, medical devices or other related equipment.
- Experience prospecting new customers and reporting through CRM platform
- Demonstrated customer experience with the ability to problem-solve and devise solutions for the customer.
- Self-motivated with effective organizational and time-management skills required.
- Negotiation Skills: Confidence in negotiating pricing and contract terms with clients.
- Must have the ability to travel territory on a daily basis with the occasional overnight stays as needed.
- Reliable transportation, current driver’s license and minimum liability insurance as required by state vehicle registration.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
