Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

Maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on buildings, production equipment and tools. Schedules and supervises contactors. Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of mechanical systems, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, or plastering. Assists leaders and other workers with their tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Maintenance:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and production equipment. Repair work on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry repairs as well as painting, patching, and hardware repairs
  • Perform general maintenance (e.g. change light bulbs, maintain exterior property and manual repairs as needed.

Safety systems including lubricating, replacing parts, and calibrating equipment.

  • Inspections & Documentation:
  • Regularly inspect building systems and production equipment to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, building codes and regulations. This can include fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting.
  • Complete documentation for work performed and maintain accurate records.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify issues with building systems and equipment.
  • Emergency response: Serve as the primary contact for facility-related emergencies, such as fire alarms, HVAC system alarms, and security alarms
  • Safety:
  • Ensure building systems and production equipment is in safe working order and assist safety coordinator with maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and checks of emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and fire sprinklers.
  • Cleaning:
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance, including waste removal and litter clean up.
  • Coordinate with cleaning and trash removal services.
  • Landscaping:
  • Coordinate with landscaping service to ensure all landscaping and sprinkler systems are in top condition.
  • Inventory:
  • Monitor inventory and order maintenance supplies as needed
  • Other:
  • Manage preventive maintenance, including monitoring and coordinating schedules.
  • Event set-up and break-down: Assist with the set-up and break-down of events
  • Develop standard work documentation for facilities processes, routines, and controls.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Working knowledge of both CNC machines and manual cutting equipment
  • Proven success in preventive maintenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • HVAC and plumbing experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
  • Self-motivated
  • Good communicator
