Information System Security Manager (ISSM) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
As Cryptic Vector’s ISSM/ISSO, you’ll have the opportunity to lead the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of both classified and unclassified security infrastructures, making a direct impact on our organization's security posture. You’ll take ownership of designing secure systems and networks that meet high-stakes standards, ensuring they’re fully compliant with key regulatory frameworks such as CMMC, ICD 503, JSIG, DAAPM and other IC/DoD requirements.
We’re looking for a hands-on technical security leader with deep experience in classified environments, someone who can craft and execute advanced security solutions while navigating complex compliance landscapes. Your technical expertise, along with your ability to automate security processes in classified settings, will be essential to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures across classified and unclassified environments
- Manage security for Special Access Programs and compartmented information systems
- Ensure compliance with IC and DoD security technical requirements
- Lead technical security assessments on classified systems
- Architect and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 2/3 requirements and ICD 503
- Perform advanced security analysis and incident response in classified environments
- Configure and tune security tools including SIEM, EDR, and WAF solutions for classified networks
- Lead technical security reviews of classified system architecture
- Develop and maintain security baselines for various technologies in accordance with classified system requirements
- Interface with government security authorities and auditors
- Submit system security authorization packages via NISP eMASS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility and willingness to maintain additional clearances as needed
- 5 years of hands-on information security experience
- Current CISSP or CISM certification
- Deep understanding of CMMC framework and technical requirements
- Expert knowledge of ICD 503, JSIG, and NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Experience implementing security controls in classified environments
- Experience securing classified cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP security requirements
- CMMC certifications
- COMSEC Account Management experience
- Prior experience as ISSM/ISSO in classified environments
- Background in secure software development for classified systems
