Art and Wellness Enterprises (AWE) is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Journeyman Plumber. AWE supports operating non-profits founded by Alice Walton including the Alice L. Walton Foundation, Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, Art Bridges, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, and Heartland Whole Health Institute.
About the Position :
The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for general daily maintenance and operation on all aspects of facility plumbing systems in all facilities. This position is responsible for all plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance and maintaining compliance / codes.
What you will do :
- Capable of performing plumbing repairs and fixture replacements, cleaning of sewer lines and grease traps.
- Installation and maintenance of water heaters, drain lines, and sewer lines.
- Coordinating and managing project schedules to minimize disruption or interference with daily operations.
- Maintain adequate training and valid State of Arkansas Plumbing License.
- Hold a valid State of Arkansas Boiler Certification.
- Supervise all plumbing contractors working on site / campus.
- Maintain compliance for ADA, City of Bentonville, Benton County and State of Arkansas code requirements.
- Assist in maintaining files for mandatory training, certificates, and yearly maintenance schedules.
- Assist in preventative maintenance schedules for all plumbing systems.
- Assist in local, state, and insurance inspections for regulatory compliance.
- Assist with the safety program, monitoring compliance with applicable building and safety codes, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, hazardous materials, etc.
- May be required to participate in the on-call rotation, after hours work, or emergency calls involving facility needs.

Physical demands : Position requires utilizing a computer and telephone for prolonged periods of time. This position also requires an individual to be physically active and capable of lifting / carrying 75 pounds. This position requires good hand / eye coordination and visual acuity in this role is essential. Your role will require walking, equipment operation, use of a ladder / lift and occasionally encounter working from heights, etc.
Work environment : Position is full-time. Work will be performed in a public setting, inside an office environment and outside in the weather / elements. The noise level is low to moderate and equipment operation may lead to higher levels for extended times. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, on call, and evenings may be necessary to support operational needs. Work environment may include exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals. Capable of performing other duties as assigned.
