Crystal Clean Automotive Services is a rapidly growing automotive detailing company with 10 locations throughout West Michigan. We are committed to providing exceptional service and maintaining a professional, safe, and clean working environment for our team and customers. We're currently seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of automotive detailing equipment and facility infrastructure at all company-owned locations. This role includes hands-on work with vacuums, pressure washers, water reclamation systems, lighting, facility repairs, and supply replenishment. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, dependable, and able to travel between sites using a company-provided vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on detailing equipment including vacuums, power washers, water reclaim systems, air compressors, and lighting
Monitor and maintain chemical levels and restock cleaning supplies across all sites
Complete minor building repairs and facility maintenance (e.g., painting, basic carpentry, drywall patching, door and fixture fixes)
Assist with new equipment installations and setup
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
Maintain a clean and organized work area at each location
Identify and report facility or equipment issues needing third-party service or more extensive repair
Ensure all tools and materials are stored safely and securely in company vehicles and job sites
Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Communicate effectively with operations and location managers regarding site needs or updates

Requirements:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple job sites
Comfortable using basic hand tools and light power tools
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems a plus (no certification required)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions
Flexibility to work some weekends or evenings as needed for emergency repairs
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a commercial or automotive environment
Experience with automotive shop equipment or commercial cleaning systems
Familiarity with facilities maintenance tracking or scheduling systems
Compensation details: 20-20 Hourly Wage
