Job Summary:
The Procedure Room Tech will be responsible for running the procedure room as safe and efficiently as possible. He/She will work closely with the Physicians and radiology technicians to deliver high quality care in our outpatient procedure rooms. The Procedure Room Tech is a vital role to the pain clinic. Daily responsibilities include taking-in patients, assisting the physician before/during/after procedures, conducting post-procedure assessment, preparing procedure paperwork. The Procedure Room Tech identifies patients’ needs, provides safe and professional care, and communicates any needs to the provider. The Procedure Room Tech must demonstrate professionalism and tact during difficult patient situations. The Procedure Room Tech will:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Triage patients.
- Take vitals.
- Prepare/clean up procedure rooms.
- Prep Sterile Field.
- Assist physicians with a wide variety of procedures.
- Handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact.
- Prepare procedure paperwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma.
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, EMT- P, or RN and received licensure from an accredited program.
- Two years’ experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.

- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers
- Strong ability to multitask
- Works to resolve problems or determines an appropriate course of action in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task and move from one project to another as needed.
- Strong time management, follow-through and organizational skills.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Work performed in an office environment.
- Involves frequent contact with physicians, leadership, and medical office staff.
- Requires long periods of standing and walking
- Physical activity can be irregular and fast-paced regularly
- Must be able to wear lead apron for prolonged periods of time
- Must possess sufficient eye-hand coordination/manual dexterity to operate medical and office equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds with no assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
