Job Summary
The Sorter is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and grading chicken paws to meet quality and production standards. This role ensures that all products are sorted correctly and efficiently, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and Grading:
- Inspect chicken products on the production line for quality, size, weight, and appearance.
- Separate products based on specific grading standards (e.g., defects, size, or weight).
- Discard or rework products that do not meet quality standards.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor production line to ensure consistent quality and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
- Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies or defects in the product.
- Line Operation Support:
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain workflow and meet production targets.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all company policies, including food safety, sanitation, and occupational safety.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate in safety and hygiene training sessions.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in poultry processing or a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and quality assurance standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work in cold or wet environments.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated processing plant with varying temperatures.
- Work involves repetitive tasks, lifting up to 25 pounds, and standing for long hours.
- May require flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
