Responsibilities
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstarte good manufacturing practices.
- Verify materials received agains purchse requisition.
- Transport materials and items from receiving and/or designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.
- Cross trained on production positions (cutter, palletizer, dumper, relief operator) to be able to fill in for production employee's on vacations.
- Maintain assembly warehouse-ensure neat and orderly storage of material.
- Determine material needed, material location and proper designation.
- Release material to production.
- Notify supervisor of low inventory supplies.
- Operate hoist to lift heavier material and equipment, which needs to be transported.
- Periodically, take inventory of material equipment, which needs to be transported.
- Assist with basic production needs.
- Ensure paperwork and data input into the computer system (SAP) is accurate.
- Rotate stock in proper order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must pass a forklift driving test and safety operate a variety of forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
- SAP knowledge is a plus, but will train
- Ability to establish priorities, works independently and proceeds with objectives with minimal supervision.
- Working well with a team setting working efficiently, being customer service oriented and being safety conschious are essention requirements.
