Responsibilities
- DSD Driver will be required to tranport product and make deliveries using a tractor trailer.
- The route duration run from 8-12 hours (Monday-Friday).
- Drivers will be required to unload their own trailer upon delivery with an electric pallet jack.
- Perform driving assignments as directed by dispatch on time with no cargo loss or damage.
- Comply with hours of service regulations.
- Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
- Ensure proper loading, securing and weight distribution of cargo before and during trip.
- Communicate all variances to schedule pickup and delivery appointments promptly so the company can notify the customer.
- Sign and complete all paperwork including Driver's trip reports, bills of lading or any other paperwork accurately.
- Must be courteous, cooperative, and respectful at all times and contact immediate manager to handle any conflicts.
- Expected to adhere to safe work practices.
- Perform any other duties assigned.
