What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician Apprentice position at Crystal Finishing Systems?
Were seeking a Maintenance Apprentice. The candidate should be passionate about pursuing a career in equipment maintenance, in a manufacturing setting. The Maintenance Technician Apprentice will assist in the repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems within a facility. The Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced technicians and supervisors to learn the necessary skills and knowledge required for a successful career in maintenance. In addition, the Apprentice will gain additional knowledge through required formal education provided by a Technical College. All health and safety rules and procedures will be taught to the trainee.
Maintenance Apprentice Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Undertake repair on a power system
- Assist in the setup of the vent, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Perform general maintenance on plant equipment such as HVAC, air compressors, generators, cranes, conveyors, boilers and controls.
- Conduct regular maintenance procedures
- Assist in budget development and ensure it is implemented
- Mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on production equipment
- Manage a healthy and safe work environment
- Check and replace valves on equipment
- Preparation of estimated costs for repair orders
- On-time completion of job order
- Manage and coordinate the activities of personnel providing temporary support.
