Position Overview

KEY Duties and responsibilities
This position is under the supervision of the QC Manager and Chief Quality Officer. The technician will also collaborate with the QC team in San Bernardino, CA.
- Collect and prepare PET plastic samples for lab testing
- Perform routine tests on PET, such as color, weight, viscosity, bulk density, and calorimetry
- Ensure timely delivery of lab samples via Fedex for external tests
- Report test results on a Certificate of Analysis for all shipments and other PET samples
- Maintain daily and accurate logs of all work completed
- Maintain a very organized and accurate storage of all PET samples
- Follow established procedures for all tests and sample preparations
- Complete data entry, compilation, and backup of all lab results
- Follow calibration and/or verification procedures for lab equipment
- Maintain proper cleanliness of lab areas and equipment
- Assist with keeping the site clean, including the warehouse and surrounding area
- Assist with inventory management and release of finished product from warehouse
- Archive facility paperwork after inspection for completeness and correctness
- Alert QC Manager of any problems found during sampling, testing, or facility inspections
- Comply with all CG Roxane company rules and practices
- All other duties as assigned by management
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required
- College-level science courses that included a laboratory aspect are highly desired
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred
- Previous work in a team, laboratory, or warehouse is a plus
COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to work alone, safely and independently
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive actions, such as standing, pulling, pushing, and turning
- Communicate promptly, clearly and effectively in verbal and written form
- Must be able to work weekends on a monthly (or other) rotation
- Must be comfortable participating in team meetings over zoom, as needed
