Laser Engraver Operator
Crystal Images, Inc, a rapidly growing company specializing in corporate awards, corporate recognition, personal premium gifts, as well as engraving services, has an opening for a laser engraving operator. The individual will have the opportunity to work with our laser machines and graphic design software for award finishing, imprinting and laser-engraving. This is a fast-paced position in a dynamic company and requires teamwork, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, inspect, clean and mask materials for engraving awards on CO2 laser machines
- Setup and run jobs on two laser machines ensuring all products meet tight manufacturing requirements.
- Acquire and maintain working knowledge and proficiency for multiple machines & printers
- Participate in efforts to provide high quality and precise products for client orders
- Engrave and print patterns, designs, etchings, trademarks, or lettering onto a variety of surfaces or products.
- Maintain safe work environment by following procedures.
- Responsible for quick turnaround of products and accuracy within established guidelines.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection on parts using various measuring tools and graphic software.
- Maintain organization of jobs and material. Keep work area clean and organized.
- Team member will be on their feet 40% - 70% per day
- The team member must be capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds potentially as needed.
- Read and interpret manufacturing instructions and other technical documentation
- Adhere to and enforce company rules, policies, and safety procedures
- Represent Crystal Images in a professional manner to customers and assists others as needed
- Clean and Maintain CO2 lasers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of one year of working experience required
- Proven ability to prepare, follow and achieve daily goals and objectives required
- Must have strong communication skills – including active listening skills and excellent teamwork skills
- Must demonstrate initiative, sound decision-making and the ability to be flexible and responsive
- Must understand and have a proven ability to deliver quality customer service
- Reading and math skills for interpretation of technical documents used in the manufacturing process.
- Must be self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Must have proven record for problem-solving and troubleshooting issues that arise on the spot
- Climb ladders to pull stock
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Experience:
- Graphic design knowledge and experience especially with CorelDraw highly preferred, but not required
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software required
- Work experience with machinery and machining software highly preferred, but not required
- Prior experience with printer or machine operation preferred
