20 hours/week; 5 hours/day (Monday through Thursday with some flexibility)
$25/hr.
Job Description:
Our organization is seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and experienced part-time bookkeeper to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online accounting software
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements for management review
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry and filing
- Monitor cash flow
- Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert management to errors
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Maintain confidentiality
Requirements/Skills:
- Knowledge and proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Computer skills; proficient with spreadsheets; Word; Excel; and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
