- Instruct an age appropriate STEM (Project Lead the Way), music, physical education, art, and health curriculum, as adopted by the Board of Education
- Provide individual and small group instruction, in accordance with the time allotted, in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
- Instruct students in state-mandated goals of STEM, music, physical education, art, and health education, as specified in the school code
- Plan a well-balanced STEM (Project Lead the Way), music, physical education, art, and health program
- Organize daily class time so preparation, rehearsal, or instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time
- Instruct students in citizenship and procedures of the school and district
- Work with current building and district Fine Arts team to coordinate teaching units and skills
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
- Elementary Education endorsement
- Project Lead the Way experience is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Student teaching and/or experience in a K-5 classroom
- Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, interpersonal skills, articulation, concentration, confidentiality and organization
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment or materials

Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a Part-Time (.40) Elementary Fine Arts Teacher, located at Indian Prairie Elementary School. The goals of this position include creating a flexible, grade-appropriate program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing effective rapport with students; motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for elementary grade education, in accordance with each student’s ability; and establishing positive relationships with parents and other staff members.
