What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer School Title I Bilingual/ELL Paraprofessional position at Crystal Lake Elementary District #47?
Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has openings for Title 1 ELL / Bilingual Paraprofessionals. This position provides paraprofessional support services in a ELL / Bilingual classroom setting in various Title I general education classrooms and / or with Title I identified students. This position will require the paraprofessional to support academic, behavioral, language and / or physical needs. This position may include assisting / monitoring student(s) with toileting and other physical needs - this includes providing physical assistance to a student during the act of toileting while in the toileting location (see toileting definition below)
The Summer Program will run from June 9, 2025 through July 3, 2025 at Glacier Ridge. Time will be 7 : 45am - 12 : 30pm. Days are Monday-Thursday. (No School June 19, 2025.)
Pay will be $17.54 per hour plus an additional $1.25 / hr for bilingual para. There will also be a $150 bonus for Paraprofessionals who are returning for summer school from last year. Must work the entire summer program.
Definition of toileting : Due to a child’s disability or medical condition, the para must provide physical assistance to a student during the act of toileting while in the toileting location. (examples : removing all undergarments, wiping, physically assisting onto and off the toilet area) Walking a child to the bathroom or providing supervision while in the bathroom which does not require physical contact would not be defined as toileting.
Requirements include :
- Paraprofessional License (ELS) or Short Term Approval for Paraprofessionals from the IL State Board of Education
