RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN MDS COORDINATOR:
- Monitors and guides the completion of assessments in a timely manner
- Involvement and supervision of inputting of MDS assessments, the transmission to the state, and obtains receipt of the validation
- Make written or oral reports/recommendations to the Director as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
- Participates in facility surveys and audits made by authorized governmental agencies as requested by the Administrator or DON.
QUALIFICATIONS OF AN MDS COORDINATOR:
- Must hold a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
- Must have an active license as an RN.
- Experience preferred, not required.
