Cook / Dietary Aide
Crystal Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center is a 71-bed facility located in Northern Rhode Island Crystal Lake provides high quality of care, specializing in acute Rehabilitation and offer long term care.
Job Responsibilities :
Preparation of daily meals according to meal plans, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
Demonstrates close attention to detail
Demonstrates a working knowledge of regulatory requirements as related to food preparation, serving, delivery and storage
Able to communicate appropriately with a diverse group of individuals including residents, family members, and facility staff
Serves food according to established facility guidelines and verifies trays for accuracy and completeness before serving
Assures food and supplies are stored according to regulatory guidelines and infection control guidelines
Assists in the delivery of food to residents as needed and as assigned
General Knowledge and Skills
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
Effective written and oral communication skills
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Able to push / pull and / or lift a minimum of 25lbs to a minimum of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and / or carry such a weight a minimum of 50 feet
Able to withstand working in extreme temperatures hot and cold
Qualifications
At least one year of applicable experience if preferred
Current knowledge of job-related state and federal guidelines
Must be capable of regular attendance
Must meet all local health regulations, including criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
Servsafe Certified preferred
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
