Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold and support recreation expectations Great Service, Quality Programming and Safe Recreation.
- Assist department in minimizing liability and risk.
- Follow activity standard operation procedures (SOP’s) and uphold facilitation standards for Mountain Activities outlined in training.
- Communicate, promote, sell, and encourage all on and off site program participation.
- Staff the desk at the Park at Water’s Edge and Mountain Adventure Zone.
- Perform all daily desk operations including reservations, accurate relay of information, sales and transactions, rental and resort information.
- Assist guests with program and recreation reservations. Clearly explain reservation information including check in process, location, price, cancellation policy, and other important details pertaining to a specific activity.
- Maintain professional telephone etiquette when conversing with guests and/or program vendors.
- Perform daily set up, end of day pick up, and cleaning & organization of recreation equipment.
- Complete daily opening and closing standard operation procedures for the desk, as well as paperwork required for reports, rentals, wait lists, hot sheets, and reservation forms.
- Assist in back of the house upkeep. Keep desk organized and presentable at all times.
- Monitor and tally outdoor hot tub and pool use.
- Properly file Function Sheets and completed paper waivers.
- Interact and provide a safe, fun environment at all times.
- Work special events and other programming as needed.
- Follow all safe work practices to include the use of personal protection equipment (PPE) and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP) procedures when around injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Previous recreation and reservation experience is desirable, but not required.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications required/provided.
- Excellent guest service.
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a high level of concentration, self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and the drive to have fun.
- Previous experience working with children a plus.
- Must have the ability to work independently.
- Dependable and meets goals.
- Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
- Non-smoking candidates preferred.
