What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Lead Service Technician position at Crystal Pool and Spa?
Crystal Pool is the area's largest store dedicated solely to pools & spas and everything that goes along with them. We are a family owned and operated swimming pool company seeking full-time seasonal Pool Service Lead Technicians with prior experience.
Leads service jobs including pool opening, closing, safety cover installation, pool equipment repair and installation, plumbing and repair, pressure testing lines, pool school, pool and spa cleaning, pool maintenance, water analysis and chemical adjustments. Supervisory responsibilities involve training and managing Assistant Service Technician.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform job quotes with the assistance of the Sales Manager.
- Perform water analysis by testing pH and chlorine and/or salt levels and provide chemicals such as chlorine, acid, etc. to correct water levels.
- Vacuum, skim, and brush inside of customer's pool, test and service pool water system; pump and filters.
- Respond to inquiries from customers and management staff regarding pool operation and sanitization.
- Keep route truck stocked adequately with equipment, supplies, chemicals etc. for the purpose of completing a daily route.
- Assist as needed with in-house repairs, in the retail store and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 1-3 years of experience as a pool technician preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
- Attention to details, ability to take directions, self-check, and follow up on work.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment is primarily outdoors with temperatures and conditions typical of the season.

Pay Range
This position pays between $23 - $30 per hour, depending on prior experience.
