POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Children’s Services serves on the Executive Leadership Team and reports to the Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer (SVP/COO). The Director oversees Crystal Springs’ Children’s Services Division, including program development, quality assurance, staff management, and strategic growth initiatives. This includes implementing innovative programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with The Director of Nursing and Director of Behavior Services to support children and families. The Director is also responsible for identifying new program opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources to expand services and enhance the organization's impact.

This includes implementing innovative programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with The Director of Nursing and Director of Behavior Services to support children and families. The Director is also responsible for identifying new program opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources to expand services and enhance the organization's impact.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or higher preferred in human services, health care, education, psychology, social work, or related field.
- Ten years or more of leadership experience in children’s residential school or related human services programs.
- LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC preferred.
- Must have an active driver’s license in state of residence that is current, valid, and in good standing with reliable transportation.
DUTIES AND RESPNSIBILITIES:
- Lead, manage, and oversee division programs, including the Chapter 766 Residential Special Education School and other related services.
- Participate as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and serve as a liaison between the Children’s Services Division and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Develop, prepare, and manage budgets for programs and services, ensuring responsible financial management and oversight of payroll processes, monitor census and spending, and recommend budget amendments.
- Develop and manage programs in alignment with the strategic plan.
- Lead strategic development initiatives to expand service offerings, strengthen partnerships, and secure additional funding sources.
- Provide clinical supervision to the Clinical Director/Family Services Director to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to professional standards.
- Conduct regular case reviews and audits to assess treatment progress and ensure compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with and lead interdisciplinary teams to implement effective treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, licensing/funder regulations, and best practices.
- Oversee the implementation of residential special education policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards including but not limited to DESE, DEEC, DCF, etc.
- Support the Children’s Services Team in managing staff effectively, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitate and/or chair various meetings and committees within the division.
- Oversee division grant writing to stabilize current programs and develop new programs with additional revenues.
- Collaborate with professionals and resources to enhance the quality of services.
- Engage in professional development by attending relevant trade association meetings such as MAAPS and other industry-related events.
- Functions as an ambassador and liaison for Crystal Springs.
- Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.
