Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in industrial controls and structural steel fabrication equipment. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and infrastructure through expert maintenance and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, focusing on control systems (PLCs, HMIs, sensors and automation equipment).
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel components, including frameworks, supports, and custom modifications, using welding, cutting, and assembly techniques.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and control system documentation.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, protocols, and industry regulations at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on controls and structural steel fabrication.
- Expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI systems.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as well as oxy-acetylene cutting and other steel fabrication techniques.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and structural blueprints.
- Proven track record of working independently and as part of a team to solve complex technical challenges.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Certification in welding, electrical systems, or controls (e.g., AWS, OSHA, or equivalent) is a plus.
