The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Club's dining room and beverage service, ensuring an exceptional Member experience. This includes managing service staff, maintaining quality standards, coordinating events, and overseeing beverage inventory and bar operations. This role is key in promoting a welcoming environment that enhances Member and guest satisfaction.

The role of Food & Beverage Manager is a blend of operational management, Member engagement, and financial oversight. The successful candidate should be passionate about hospitality, highly organized, and capable of leading a team to exceed Member expectations.

Core Competencies :

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Knowledge of beverage programs, wine and spirits, and fine dining standards
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, payroll, and inventory
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service

Education : Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience

Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role within a high-end restaurant, hotel, or country club setting

Requirements :

Restaurant and Beverage Service Operations :

  • Oversee daily dining room and bar operations, ensuring smooth service for Member and their guests
  • Ensure dining areas are set up according to Club standards and that staff are prepared for service
  • Maintain consistent quality of food, beverage, and service in all areas, in line with Member expectations
  • Staff Management and Training

  • Hire, train, and manage all dining room and bar staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure high standards of service and hospitality
  • Schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage for service demands while maintaining budgetary controls
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
  • Member Engagement and Satisfaction

  • Actively engage with Members to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and accommodate special requests
  • Develop and maintain strong Member relationships, fostering a welcoming and attentive dining environment
  • Manage Member feedback effectively, resolving complaints and implementing improvements where necessary
  • Inventory and Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage beverage inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and rotation of products
  • Work with vendors to order supplies and beverages, maintaining relationships and negotiating favorable pricing
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, waste, and usage to minimize loss and control costs
  • Conduct monthly inventory and cost analysis to keep expenses in line with budget projections
  • Event Coordination and Special Functions

  • Work closely with the event planning team to organize and execute Club events, private parties, and other functions
  • Oversee setup, service, and teardown of events, ensuring a seamless experience for Members and guests
  • Assist in developing food and beverage pairings and themed events that align with Club's culinary team
  • Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all dining and beverage areas
  • Implement and monitor safety practices to ensure a safe environment for Members, guests, and employees
  • Ensure all team members have required certifications and that training is up-to-date
