Alzheimer's Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, including those with disabilities, autism, or requiring long-term care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care while ensuring the safety and comfort of those you assist.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Observe and document patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting when necessary.
• Administer first aid as required and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Assist in hospice care situations, ensuring comfort and dignity for clients in their final stages of life.
• Collaborate effectively with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with long-term care practices and patient observation techniques is advantageous.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
• Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus.
• A compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills are vital for success in this role.
