Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy is hiring a High School Varsity Boys Golf Head Coach.

Chemung Hills Golf and Banquet Center, Howell , Mi.- Is our Home HS Course. HS season runs 3/10/25- 6/7/25. Potential of M-F practices ( 5pm-8 pm time slot)

Charyl Stockwell Academy (CSA) District is a public school academy that serves approximately 1,250 students Kindergarten through High School. Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Previous Golf coaching (any level) and/or playing experience (preferably at the HS or collegiate level) or a golf teaching professional or golf professional working in the industry.
• Ability to communicate, foster, and maintain positive relationships with students, other coaches, administrators, news media, boosters, and parents.
• Excellent organizational and communications skills
• Successful experience in mentoring and developing a coaching staff
• Knowledge of current training methods that are proven effective through research and
  
  

good practices.

• Possess good motivational skills
• Ability to guide and direct a golf program
• Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment.
  
  

Performance Responsibilities

• Coach’s student athletes in the skill necessary for achievement in the sport involved.
• Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
• Helps support booster club fundraisers.
• Administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director such as, accurate records, official’s evaluations and other paper work.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
• Establishes performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in the sport, as appropriate.
• Enforces sportsmanlike and respectful behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees
  
  

these standards in team management.

• Accountable for all team equipment and supplies and furnishing season inventories, summaries, and award candidates.
• Is passionate about the sport being coached and is a dependable employee.
• Looks to advance the program by demonstating the abilty to work with all students skill levels, and plans out of season trainings ie. (Camps, clinic opportunities or tournament for the program).
