Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy is hiring a High School Varsity Girls Volleyball Head Coach.
Charyl Stockwell Academy (CSA) District is a public school academy that serves approximately 1,250 students Kindergarten through High School. Since opening its doors in 1996, the CSA District has received the earned distinction as a School of Excellence due to its academic achievement, and is ranked in the top 10% of all public schools in the state of Michigan. Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Previous Volleyball coaching (any level) and/or playing experience (preferably at the collegiate level)
- Ability to communicate, foster, and maintain positive relationships with students, other coaches, administrators, news media, boosters, and parents.
- Excellent organizational and communications skills
- Successful experience in mentoring and developing a coaching staff
- Knowledge of current training methods that are proven effective through research and
- Possess good motivational skills
- Ability to guide and direct a volleyball program
- Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment.
- Coach’s student athletes in the skill necessary for achievement in the sport involved.
- Plans and schedules a regular program of practice in season.
- Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate.
- Helps support booster club fundraisers.
- Administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director such as, accurate records, official’s evaluations and other paper work.
- Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
- Establishes performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition in the sport, as appropriate.
- Enforces sportsmanlike and respectful behavior at all times, and establishes and oversees
- Accountable for all team equipment and supplies and furnishing season inventories, summaries, and award candidates.
- Is passionate about the sport being coached and is a dependable employee.
- Looks to advance the program by demonstating the abilty to work with all students skill levels, and plans out of season trainings ie. (Camps, clinic opportunities for the program).
