Responsibilities
- Order Management and System Updates:
- Enter new orders into the Transportation Management System (TMS) as they pertain to the role, ensuring all order details are accurate and updated in real time.
- Schedule necessary appointments, logging any appointments made by carriers, and ensure that all order-related information is communicated efficiently across internal and external parties.
- Customer Service and Issue Resolution:
- Provide exceptional customer service by proactively identifying and resolving issues that could affect the timely pickup and delivery of freight.
- Manage challenges related to carrier and capacity issues, maintaining a composed approach during high-pressure situations to handle urgent shipments effectively.
- Operational Coordination and Efficiency:
- Foster regular interaction with other departments to enhance operational processes and implement solutions based on customer feedback and market conditions.
- Suggest and implement strategies to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness, including adapting to last-minute order changes and handling various other operational tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or a GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 3-5 Years working for another 3PL/Freight Broker/Transportation company in a logistics/operational capacity.
- Bi?Lingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other TMS and/or CRM is a plus.
- Customer service experience is a must.
