Business Development Representative (BDR)
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an introductory position to selling freight services for a 3rd party logistics company. As a BDR, you will receive training designed to introduce you to the supply chain industry and the Company’s role within it. Training will mainly focus on developing industry knowledge, Company operations, and B2B inside sales techniques used to identify, qualify, and schedule meetings with potential customers. BDRs are responsible for engaging prospects and initiating the sales cycle by scheduling discovery calls with qualified leads. From that point on, they will work alongside experienced Account Executives to progress the opportunity and close the deal. BDRs will be placed on an immediate progression plan for promotion to the Account Executive position which comes with a salary increase along with significantly increased commission opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Generate leads through email, phone calls, and other channels.
- Utilize HubSpot and other sales tools to review leads and document activity.
- Identify opportunities and develop strategic lead lists.
- Strategically and creatively pursue leads in order to reach decision makers.
- Qualify leads based on key criteria that make up the Company’s core customers.
- Schedule sales discovery calls for qualified leads.
- Achieve or exceed monthly new business sales goals.
- 0-3 years sales experience (no industry experience needed)
- Comfortable making 80-100 cold calls per day
- Driven and tenacious with the ability to be professionally persistent and persuasive
- Ability to follow a sales methodology to achieve company sales goals
- Personable, especially through verbal and written communication
- Exceptionally resourceful and coachable
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Team player yet capable of working independently
- Strong desire to pursue a career in Sales
