Senior Sales Manager - Warehousing & Supply Chain
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of
our client’s business by identifying and winning material handling projects within our client’s core competency. You will define a strategy to conduct and execute market development actions to create business opportunities and gain new projects. These actions are based on the segment strategy and account plans that you develop together with the team. You nurture leads, gather the relevant information on the technical aspects and the bidding processes. Together with sales support team, you are responsible for making and executing the sales strategies and plans, understanding the customer’s business, processes, and values, and with the aim to prepare a spot-on proposition which exceeds customers’ expectations. You will influence the decision-making processes and build and maintain strong senior management relationships with the relevant decision makers of customers. As Senior Sales Manager you lead the team and manage the full sales life cycle, from negotiating terms and conditions to a winning proposal based on creating and selling value rather than price, and contract management and accounts receivable collection.

Responsibilities
- Develop and update market and provide analysis regularly.
- Create sales strategy and plan, and execute sales actions, including targeted prospecting through direct contact, mailings, trade shows, and networking.
- Work closely with marketing team to establish and strengthen our client’s brand recognition and implement publicity campaigns.
- Analyze customer inquiries and assess their alignment with our client’s competencies.
- Investigate how our client can provide added value and competitive advantages.
- Collaborate with system engineers to generate quotations.
- Translate customer inquiries into logistical concepts and professional quotations.
- Ensure quotations adhere to legal, administrative, financial, and technical guidelines.
- Establish and maintain new customer contacts.
- Develop, persuade, and build strong relationships with customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8 years of commercial working experience; preferably with high-value engineered solutions.
- Working experience in relevant industry segment (e-commerce, parcel) is an advantage.
- Senior, business acumen and a strong sales spirit.
- Experience in handling mid to large sized business deals.
- Strong communicational skills, you have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships.
- High analytical ability, natural negotiator.
- Willingness to travel within short notice.
- Ability to work within an international work environment and amongst different cultures.
