Senior Vice President of Warehousing

The Senior Vice President of Warehousing will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company's warehouse and distribution operations, strategy, and growth. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in warehousing and logistics, capable of driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for warehousing operations to support company goals and objectives.
• Oversee the management of multiple warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of warehouse managers and staff, promoting a culture of high performance and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
• Optimize warehouse processes and systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Collaborate with other departments, including transportation, procurement, and customer service, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
• Manage budget and financial performance of the warehousing division, ensuring cost- effective operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance warehousing operations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Review and interact with sales team to drive business unit growth.
• Responsible for contract renewal and pricing.
• Cultivate talent through teaching, coaching, and developing on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
• Strong knowledge of distribution services, automation and value-added services.
• Advance knowledge and skills with technology (WMS, LMS, and Office 365).
  
  

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehousing and logistics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale warehousing operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of warehousing best practices, technologies, and industry trends.
• Strong financial acumen, experience managing budgets and full P&L ownership.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
