Located just 90 miles north of Houston, CHI St. Lukes Health Memorial - Lufkin and The Heart Institute of East Texas are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy, well-established surgical practice. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a market that serves over 350,000 patients, with exceptional facilities, cutting-edge technology, and an experienced, collegial team.

About the Opportunity

Team : Work alongside a 12-physician cardiology group (7 interventional, 2 electrophysiologists, 3 general / invasive cardiologists) and a collaborative surgical team.
Facilities :

Four-story dedicated Heart & Stroke Tower

Two CVOR Suites and two hybrid ORs

Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System

Highly skilled ICU and nursing staff

Case Volume :

200-250 open-heart cases annually

250 thoracic cases annually

Call Schedule : Rotated between two surgeons, supported 24 / 7 by experienced APRNs and hospitalists.

Position Highlights

Perform a full spectrum of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valvular surgery, aortic surgery, and thoracic resections (including minimally invasive techniques).

Majority of patients present with known cardiovascular disease, such as atherosclerotic coronary artery disease or valvular disorders.

TAVR experience preferred but not required.

Comfortable Monday-Friday schedule with excellent support and resources.
